Warehouses are the physical storage locations where you keep inventory and equipment in Inventory HQ. Every material, job, and equipment record must be tied to a location, so setting up your warehouses correctly is a critical first step. The page header shows how many warehouses your plan allows and how many are in use, for example 3 of 10.

Creating a warehouse

Only Company Admins can create warehouses.

Open the Create Warehouse modal

Click Add Warehouse to open the Create Warehouse modal.

Enter the warehouse name

Enter the Warehouse Name (required). Use a clear, unique name, for example “Main Depot”.

Fill in the address

Fill in City, State, Address, and Zip Code.

Add a description (optional)

Add an optional Description for capacity or usage notes.

Save the warehouse

Click Add Warehouse. The location is saved and available across all modules.

Viewing warehouse stock

Use View on any warehouse to see everything currently stocked at that location. This gives you a consolidated view of all inventory and equipment stored there.
Create at least one location before adding inventory, equipment, or jobs, since location is a required field in all three. Warehouse is also the primary filter in Reports, so set up locations the way you actually want your numbers broken down.

Service trucks as locations

Service trucks are your own vehicles: crew trucks, box trucks, install vans. In Inventory HQ they behave as mobile warehouses. They are not supplier or delivery vehicles. Crews can pull material directly from a truck on a job, and return to it. Truck stock appears in the Inventory location filter alongside warehouses, and counts toward low stock alerts.
The two views serve different purposes. Use the Service Trucks module to move, stock, and pull inventory. Use the equipment view for visibility of the vehicle as an asset.
