Setting up your InventoryHQ account takes only a few minutes. This page walks you through creating your account, selecting the right plan for your business, adding your first warehouse location, and configuring your basic account settings so your team can hit the ground running.
Every InventoryHQ plan includes a 30-day free trial. You can explore the full platform, add your real inventory data, and invite your team before you’re ever charged. No credit card is required to start your trial.

Step 1: Sign up for a free trial

1

Go to inventory-hq.com

Open inventory-hq.com in your browser and click Start Free Trial.
2

Enter your details

Provide your name, business email address, and a password. You’ll use these credentials to log in to both the web dashboard and the mobile app.
3

Verify your email

Check your inbox for a verification email from InventoryHQ and click the confirmation link to activate your account.

Step 2: Choose a plan

After verifying your email, you’ll be prompted to select a plan. You won’t be charged until your 30-day trial ends, so choose the plan that best matches the features you want to evaluate.

Equipment Only — $99/mo

Includes equipment tracking for up to 5 users. The right starting point if equipment management is your primary need right now.

Core Plan — $199/mo

The full InventoryHQ platform — inventory, jobs, equipment, and service trucks — for 1 warehouse location and up to 5 users.
If your business runs multiple warehouse locations or needs more than 5 users, contact the InventoryHQ team to discuss a Custom plan. You can upgrade at any time after your trial.

Step 3: Set up your first warehouse

Once you’ve selected a plan, the setup wizard will guide you through creating your first warehouse location.
1

Name your warehouse

Enter a name that your team will recognize — for example, “Main Warehouse” or your city and street address. This name appears throughout the platform wherever inventory is assigned to this location.
2

Add your materials catalog

Start adding the materials you stock. For each item, provide a name, unit of measure (squares, bundles, sheets, etc.), current quantity on hand, and a reorder threshold. You can import a CSV file if you have an existing inventory list.
3

Set reorder thresholds

Define the minimum stock level for each material. When your quantity on hand drops to or below that number, InventoryHQ will alert you automatically so you can reorder before you run out.
Don’t worry about getting every item perfect on day one. You can add, edit, and remove materials from your catalog at any time from the Inventory section of the dashboard.

Step 4: Configure your account settings

Before you invite your team, take a moment to configure your account-level settings. Navigate to Settings → Account from the left sidebar.
Enter your official company name as you’d like it to appear in reports and exports. You can also upload your company logo, which will appear on printed reports.
Set your local timezone so that timestamps on inventory transactions, job activity, and alerts are accurate for your location. This is especially important if your team works across multiple time zones.
Choose how you want to receive reorder alerts and system notifications — by email, in-app, or both. You can set notification preferences at the account level here and override them per user in their individual profiles.
Review your plan details, trial end date, and payment method. You can update your billing information or upgrade your plan at any time from the Settings → Billing page.
Your trial ends automatically after 30 days. Add a payment method before your trial expires to avoid any interruption in service for you and your team.
