Your company profile and locations are the foundation of Inventory HQ. Complete your company details first, then create warehouses and service trucks so every material and job is tied to a real place.

Complete your company profile

Open Settings and fill in your company details so the account is ready for use. Your bulk import templates are generated from this information, so complete it before importing anything.

Create warehouses and service trucks

Set up the physical locations where materials and equipment are stored. Service trucks are added the same way and behave as mobile warehouses. Establishing locations before stocking anything keeps every number tied to a real place.

Creating a warehouse

  1. Go to Warehouses and click Add Warehouse.
  2. Enter the Warehouse Name (required). Use a clear, unique name, for example “Main Depot”.
  3. Fill in City, State, Address, and Zip Code.
  4. Add an optional Description for capacity or usage notes.
  5. Click Add Warehouse. The location is saved and available across all modules.
Use View on any warehouse to see everything currently stocked at that location.

Creating a service truck

  1. Go to Service Trucks and click Add Service Truck.
  2. Enter the truck name, Registration Number, Vehicle Identification Number, Model, and Description.
  3. Optionally assign a driver.
  4. Save. The truck is now available as a location throughout the platform.
Create at least one location before adding inventory, equipment, or jobs, since location is a required field in all three. Warehouse is also the primary filter in Reports, so set up locations the way you actually want your numbers broken down.
