Categories keep your inventory and equipment organised in Inventory HQ. Each category row shows its inventory count and equipment count, so you can see at a glance how many items are grouped under it. Categories are used in filters, reports, and your bulk import template.

Managing categories

Only Company Admins can manage categories.
Each category has four row actions: Items can also be tagged from the other direction, using Assign to Categories on any inventory or equipment row.
Categories are what keep the Inventory and Equipment filters usable once your list runs to hundreds of items. Set them up during initial setup, since they are also pulled into your bulk import template.
