Once a job is audited and closed, its material costs become part of your account-wide reporting. This page explains the key job costing metrics and where to find them in Reports.

Key job costing KPIs

The Reports page includes a KPI summary that shows how your jobs are performing financially. These figures update based on the location and date range filters you apply at the top of the Reports page.

Job Costing Breakdown chart

The Job Costing Breakdown is a line chart that shows cost per job over time. You can group the data by day, week, month, or year to spot trends in material spending. Use this chart to:
  • Compare costs across similar job types.
  • Identify jobs that ran over or under typical material usage.
  • Share trends with stakeholders using the export function.

How costs become final

Material costs are not final until a job passes through Ready to Audit and is approved. Until then, returns and corrections can still change the total. Once approved, the cost is locked and feeds into:
  • The Average Job Cost KPI
  • The Job Costing Breakdown line chart
  • CRM write-back (where connected)
