# CRM Integration Guide and Current Status | InventoryHQ

> Learn InventoryHQ's CRM integration status, export job costing data for your CRM today, and find out what direct sync features are coming soon.

Connecting your field operations data with your CRM or accounting software closes the loop between the work your crews do on job sites and the financial records your office depends on. InventoryHQ is designed to feed that pipeline — and the team is actively building the integrations to make it seamless.

  Direct CRM sync and an open API are currently in active development. This is a top priority for the InventoryHQ team. In the meantime, you can export your job costing data and import it manually into your CRM or accounting software — the process is straightforward and covered in detail below.

## What You Can Do Today

Even before direct integrations are live, InventoryHQ gives you the data you need in a portable format.

## Importing Job Costing Data Into Your CRM

Most CRM and accounting platforms — including common tools used by roofing contractors — accept CSV imports. InventoryHQ's data exports are formatted to make this import as clean as possible.

    Follow the steps in [Data Export](/integrations/data-export) to download a CSV of your job costing data. The export includes job name, materials used, unit costs, total cost, and margin data.

  <Step title="Open your CRM or accounting software">
    Navigate to the import section of your CRM or accounting platform. This is typically found under a **Data**, **Import**, or **Settings** menu — refer to your CRM's documentation for the exact path.

  <Step title="Map the fields">
    During the import process, match the columns from the InventoryHQ CSV to the corresponding fields in your CRM. Common mappings include:

    * **Job Name** → Project / Opportunity Name
    * **Total Material Cost** → Cost of Goods Sold
    * **Gross Margin** → Profit / Margin field
    * **Job Date** → Close Date or Project Date

    Run the import and verify that records appear correctly. Spot-check a few jobs to confirm the numbers transferred accurately.

  Save your field mapping configuration in your CRM after the first successful import. Most platforms let you reuse a saved mapping, which makes future imports much faster.

## What's Coming: Direct CRM Sync

The InventoryHQ team is building a direct integration layer that will eliminate the manual export-and-import step entirely. Planned capabilities include:

* **Open API** — connect InventoryHQ to any platform that supports REST API integrations, including custom workflows and automation tools
* **Direct CRM sync** — push job costing data, material usage, and job status updates directly to your CRM as jobs are completed in InventoryHQ
* **Accounting software connectors** — streamline the transfer of cost data to platforms commonly used by roofing contractors

As integrations become available, they will appear under **Settings > Integrations** in your account and be documented here.
